How to choose the Quality dust collector filter bag material for Cement Plant?
According to the emissions of dust gas and process method difference,different characteristics dust filter bags need be chose in cement plants.
The dust in Cement plants get normal temperature, high temperature , high humidity, high concentration, combustion and explosion characteristics ect. The temperature fluctuation range is large in cement plants also, like shaft kiln bag dust collector, we’d like prevent paste bags, as well as burning in bags. Therefore, the selection of dust collector filter bag , consistent with different working conditions, choose different filtering materials, and take the corresponding technical protection measures.
Normal temperature working conditions, polyester dust collector bags and polyester waterproof dust removal filter bag are often selected.
Polyester
- Normal maximum continuous operating temperature is 275°F. Polyester felts offer excellent resistance to chemicals, abrasion, and dry heat degradation. they provide excellent dimensional stability and are the foremost common sort of filter bag used today.
- Polyester are good for dry heat applications and are superior to other synthetics with the exception of Nomex® (Aramid) and Teflon® during this regard. Polyester is not a good choice for moist heat and subject to hydrolytic degradation under certain circumstances.
- Polyester offers good resistance to most mineral and organic acids except high concentration of nitric, sulfuric, and carbolic acids. it’s good resistance to weak alkalis and moderate resistance to strong alkalis at coldness . Polyester also has good resistance to most oxidizing agents and excellent to most organic solvents.
- Polyester it’s not recommended for a few phenolic compounds. Not recommend at top concentration of strong alkalis at high temperatures use Polyester.
In high temperature working conditions, like kiln head, PTFE acid and alkali resistant treatment of aramid filter bag or glass fiber composite filter bag always be used. Aramid filter bag, alkali free glass fiber expansion film filter bag, glass fiber composite filter bag are widely utilized in Kiln tail.
Fiberglass
- Normal continuous operating temperature is 500°F. General applications include: Cement kilns, Carbon black reactors, High temperature dryers, Power plants, and Electric furnaces.
- Fiberglass has excellent resistance to most acids, but is attacked by hydrofluoric acid. Not recommended where bases and salts like chlorides, bromides, and cyanides are present. This media has poor flex abrasion qualities and requires a 20 vertical wire minimum support cage when utilized in tubular bag form.
Aramid (Nomex®)
- Normal maximum continuous operating temperature is 375°F. General applications for Aramid felt include: Highly abrasive dust applications, discharge furnaces, heat dryers, Cupolas, and chemical applications where high temperatures exist.
- Aramid offers an honest resistance to alkalies under most condition. Most mineral oxides cause degradation and partial decomposition. Aramid withstands common organic solvents alright . Some phenolic compounds cause solubility.
The selection of dust collector bag material is extremely important, as it directly affects the dust removal effect of dust remover, select the dust bag from the subsequent aspects: gas temperature, humidity and chemistry, particle size, dust concentration, filter wind speed, dust removal method and other factors.
- High temperature, for instance , the dust emitted by the top of the rotary kiln is at a really heat , up to 400 degrees, so it must be treated after cooling and tempering.
- High humidity, like shaft kiln, dryer, the temperature often changes, the humidity content is up to quite 20%;
